Health Science Guided Major Electives

Health Science majors, should choose 2000 level or higher courses that will align with their career goals. Students have, in the past, chosen courses in areas such as:
  • Exercise Science and Sports Medicine (KINS)
  • Marketing (MKTG)
  • Child and Family Development (CHFD)
  • Nutrition and Food Science (NTFS)
  • Public Relations (PRCA)
  • Psychology (PSYC)
  • Political Science (POLS) /Public Administration (PBAD)
  • Sociology (SOCI)
  • Anthropology (ANTH)
  • African American Studies (AAST)
  • International Studies (INTS)

If your goal is to attend graduate school you may choose courses required by the program in which you would like to matriculate but which may not already be included in your program of study. The Medical College of Georgia Master of Physical Therapy program, for instance, currently requires a full year of physics.
